Earning This Honor
So, what does it take to become a CSIA Master Chimney Sweep? Well, first of all, the sweep must be a CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep, and they have to of held this title for at least nine consecutive years or 18 non-consecutive years. Along with this there are specific courses the sweep is required to pass, and they must have an NFI certification, as well.
Once the sweep meets all of these specific requirements, they fill out an application and pay the fee associated with it. After it is received and reviewed by the CSIA Coordinator, they will then send it on to the Master committee, who will make the final decision.
If the application was approved, the person becomes an official Master Sweep! That being said, anyone who obtains this status must maintain the requirements or else the title will be revoked. As you can tell, it is an extensive process, and obtaining this honor is no easy feat. Needless to say, we are proud to have an owner who takes this responsibility seriously and puts in the hard work to ensure his customers get the best service possible.
Invest In The Best Today
It is an unfortunate fact that the chimney industry throughout the state of Maryland is not regulated, meaning anyone could run a business in this field without obtaining the knowledge they need to get the job done right. Along with this, it is all too common for a chimney company to claim that they are certified, without offering any specifics about where they received this certification from.
The fact of the matter is, any reputable company will be certified with the CSIA, and they will be proud to display it. If you are ready to work with the best, count on Clean Sweep of Anne Arundel County for any and all of your wood, oil, or gas burning home heating appliances needs. By investing in our services, you guarantee yourself a safer and more comfortable home and hearth every single time.
